By accessing or using the ShipScope platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. ShipScope reserves the right to update these Terms at any time, with changes effective upon posting.
ShipScope is a vessel valuation and compliance platform that provides:
The Service is designed as a decision-support tool. It does not replace professional maritime surveying, broker valuations, or regulatory compliance submissions.
To access certain features, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including your name, email address, and company name. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify ShipScope immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
ShipScope is a per-report service with no monthly subscription. You may use the platform tools (vessel lookup, fleet dashboard, CII / EEXI / EU ETS / FuelEU calculators, TCO and scenario modeling) free of charge with a registered account.
Paid valuation reports are available for purchase at $999 (Standard), $1,799 (Priority), $2,999 (Express). All payments are processed through Stripe. Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes. Enterprise arrangements (such as API access, multi company fleet tracking, SSO, and dedicated support) are not available off the shelf today and are scoped on request under a separate written agreement.
You retain full ownership of all vessel data, fleet information, and other content you submit to ShipScope ("Customer Data"). By using the Service, you grant ShipScope a limited, non-exclusive license to process your Customer Data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
ShipScope may use aggregated and anonymized data derived from use of the Service for the purposes of improving the platform, generating market benchmarks, and conducting research. Such aggregated data will not identify you or your vessels.
You agree not to:
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
ShipScope does not warrant that:
For a detailed description of valuation and data limitations, please review our Valuation and Data Disclaimer.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SHIPSCOPE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
ShipScope's total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to ShipScope during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You acknowledge that vessel valuations, compliance calculations, TCO analyses, and scenario projections are automated estimates and should not be the sole basis for purchase, sale, financing, or regulatory decisions. ShipScope assumes no responsibility for business decisions made in reliance on the Service.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShipScope and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
ShipScope is sold on a per report basis with no recurring subscription, so there is no billing period to wind down. You may close your account at any time by emailing support@shipscope.com, and you may stop placing report orders at any time without notice. Upon account closure or termination by either party:
ShipScope reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms, with or without notice.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
